Fox 2.0 Performance Series IFP rear shock, 2-3in lift. Fits Holden Colorado RG (2012-2020).

The Colorado RG was co-developed by GM and Isuzu on the same platform as the Isuzu D-Max RG — same chassis, same rear suspension mounting — so this is the identical part we fit to the D-Max RG, just listed under the Colorado name so it's easy to find.

Sold as a pair.

The Performance Series 2.0 IFP smooth body shocks use race-proven damping control for a comfortable on-road ride and predictable off-road handling. The precision impact-aluminium body increases cooling capacity and won't rust.

Holden Colorado RG's stock rear axle sits around 880kg and runs an LD tier. Tow ball weight and rear-mounted gear load almost straight onto the rear axle — tell us what's fitted and we'll work out the rest, then attach it to your order.

Build this for how you actually drive — the daily commute, the school run, the odd weekend track — not the one loaded trip you do three times a year. Nobody enjoys a daily-driven brick just so it's ready for a trip it takes twice a summer. If your heavy trips are rare, tell us straight and we'll spec for the other 80%.

Front-Mounted Accessories

Bull bar and winch hang off the front overhang, so essentially all of that weight loads the front axle.

Underbody & Chassis

Mounted between the axles, so only part of the weight transfers forward.

Rock sliders
~20kg/side along the chassis rail — about 35% of that reaches the front axle.
Bash / skid plates
Engine & transfer case plates sit forward of centre — about 75% transfers to the front.
Dual / extra battery
Engine bay, ahead of the firewall — about 90% loads the front axle.
An extra/dual battery sits off to one side of the engine bay, so that side needs a touch of preload dialled in to correct the one-sided weight. We'll set this for you.

This load is over the Holden Colorado RG's rated rear axle capacity (1850kg). Talk to us before we spec a pack — a GVM upgrade might be the better fix.
Running super light back there? A near-empty rear end can actually ride a touch rough — a bit of weight low down (an alloy tray, for example) isn't a bad thing and often settles the ride. Keeping your spare tyre in its original mounted position also has a benefit: that's usually factored into how the suspension is tuned. And weight kept low and central is genuinely good for stability — it lowers the centre of gravity, which helps guard against rollovers rather than just being something to avoid.
