Load the tray or hook up a van and the rear end drops, which hurts handling, braking, headlight aim and clearance. Bellows let you dial in support for the load you're actually carrying, then drop the pressure back for a stock, comfortable ride when you're running empty.

Getting the leaf pack right for your constant load is still the first step — but most leaf packs are rated well past what you carry day to day, which is what makes an unloaded ute ride rough. The bellows give you the flexibility to have both.
